FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to questions about the course, teaching and payment.

The course and your business

I don’t have a business idea. Can you help me decide?

Yes. At the start of the course we look at current business trends in Europe and around the world, show examples of different ideas and test business hypotheses. Around 40% of participants join without an idea and find their own during the course.

I already run a business, but it is making a loss. How can the course help?

In the course you will go through finances, costs, processes and the points where losses arise. Together with the lecturers you will find out where the business is losing money, which processes need optimising and which steps lead to sustainable profit.

Will the course be useful if I don’t live in Europe?

Yes. The programme covers skills and knowledge you can use in any country. Business rules differ, but the principles our teaching is built on are universal and apply in Europe, the CIS countries and other regions.

Teaching and the exam

What language is the course taught in?

The course is taught in Czech. If you are not sure whether your Czech is good enough, write to us and we will help you decide whether the course is right for you.

What education do I need?

The admission requirement is completed secondary education. You don’t need any business experience – the course takes you from an idea all the way to a finished business plan.

How does the teaching work?

Lessons run live online with the lecturer, so you can ask questions straight away and discuss specific examples. You work with case studies and financial calculations and build your own business plan step by step. You will find the schedule under Course dates.

What if I miss a lesson?

No problem. Lessons are recorded and the recordings are available for 12 months, so you can catch up whenever it suits you.

What does the final exam involve?

The exam has two parts: a one-hour written test and the defence of your business plan (10 minutes). You need at least 80% to pass. You work on your business plan throughout the course.

What certificate will I receive?

After passing the exam you will receive a retraining certificate recognised throughout the Czech Republic (MŠMT accreditation 22412/2025-6) and a Mini MBA diploma.

Price and payment

How can I pay? Can I pay in instalments?

You can pay by bank transfer, card, in cash or via Benefit Plus. Instalments are also possible – we will agree the terms with you individually.

Can the Labour Office pay for the course?

Yes, retraining can be paid for by the Czech Labour Office (Úřad práce) – for jobseekers and employees, the self-employed and business owners. It is not an automatic right, though: in your application you need to show your motivation and explain how the course will help you, for example to find a job or to start or grow your own business. The Labour Office currently provides funding only to a limited extent. We are happy to help you with the application.
