I can wholeheartedly recommend the “Účetnictví a daňová evidence” course. I gained a lot of useful information that can be applied in practice. The lessons were clear and well organised, and the lecturers showed great expertise and were happy to answer every question. …
Practical, to the point and without fluff. What I liked most about this training was the number of real-life examples. No boring theory – we went straight to how to book specific transactions correctly and what to watch out for at closing. …
… The lecturers explain both the theory and practical situations in detail. Another advantage is that the lectures are recorded, so you can go back to any lesson and review the material again. The coordinators and managers always respond very quickly.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need previous accounting experience?
No. The course is designed so that you can start from scratch. If you already have some knowledge, for example from working in another country, you will deepen it and organise it according to Czech legislation.
In which language is the course taught?
The course is taught in Czech; we recommend at least A2 level. The lecturers speak clearly, so students at this level manage the programme. Organisational questions can also be discussed with our team in Russian or Ukrainian, and on request we provide course recordings with Russian translation.
Can I work as an accountant in the Czech Republic after the course?
Yes. With the retraining certificate you can start working as an employed accountant right after the course. According to our survey, more than 40% of graduates find a job in accounting. If you want to provide accounting services as a self-employed person (OSVČ), further conditions apply – we explain them in the article How to become an accountant in the Czech Republic.
Is there demand for accountants in the Czech Republic and how much do they earn?
What is the difference between the course with and without computer technology?
Both courses cover accounting and taxes in the same way (13 modules) and both end with a retraining certificate. The course with computer technology (170 hours) also includes practical lessons in POHODA, where you try everything on real documents. The course without software (130 hours) is for those who do not need to work in accounting software. If you want to work as an accountant, we recommend the course with POHODA.
How are lessons held and how much time will it take?
Lessons are held live online via Zoom. You see the lecturer and their screen and can ask questions right away. Lessons take place in the evening, three times a week (Mon, Tue, Thu 16:00–20:00); the POHODA course adds a Saturday morning. Thanks to the evening format, you can combine the course with a job. The length and schedule of each group are listed under Course dates.
What if I miss a lesson?
No problem. Every lesson is recorded and the recordings are available for 12 months, so you can catch up whenever it suits you. To take the exam, however, you need at least 80% attendance.
Do I need my own copy of POHODA?
No. As part of the course you get a free educational version of POHODA to install on your computer. You need a Windows computer and an internet connection.
Can the Labour Office pay for the course?
Yes. Job seekers, employees, self-employed persons and entrepreneurs can apply to the Czech Labour Office (Úřad práce) to have retraining paid for. We will help you with the application: we send you the form or a link for submitting it online via your data box (datová schránka) or Citizen Identity (Identita občana). The Labour Office takes about 30 days to decide, so apply in good time. Please note that the Labour Office currently provides funding only to a limited extent.
How can I pay? Can I pay in instalments?
You can pay by bank transfer, card or cash, use Benefit Plus, or the course can be paid for by your employer or the Labour Office. Instalments are possible too: we set them individually so that the course is fully paid by the end of the course.
What is the final exam like and what certificate will I receive?
The exam is a theoretical test taken in person in Prague or, by arrangement, online. You need at least 80% attendance. We prepare you for the exam during the course. After passing, you receive a retraining certificate accredited by MŠMT, valid throughout the Czech Republic. How to get an accountant’s qualification recognised in the Czech Republic (including education from abroad) is explained in the article How to get an accountant’s qualification recognised in the Czech Republic.
