Housing loans for the professional exam in consumer credit for future mortgage advisors, real estate agents and bank staff – without buying the entire 160-hour course

Ask questions right during the lesson
The professional exam in consumer credit is one of the four areas every future financial advisor in the Czech Republic must pass. Anyone who wants to arrange housing loans also needs to know property valuation, the real estate and mortgage market, building savings (stavební spoření) and the land register.
This 14-hour module is a stand-alone part of the Financial Advisor course and prepares you for exactly this part of the exam. In three live lessons you will cover housing loans and mortgages, building savings, collateral through a mortgage lien and the land register, property valuation and LTV, as well as rate fixation, early repayment and refinancing. Lessons are taught in Czech – the same language as the exam – so you learn the terminology you will need.
If you later decide to take the full Financial Advisor course, we will credit the price of this module.
You will tell apart a mortgage loan, a loan secured by real estate and a building savings loan, and know what each one is for.
You will understand building savings loans and bridging loans and how they differ from a mortgage.
You will learn how property is valued, what the usual price is and how the value of the collateral affects the loan amount.
You will understand mortgage liens, entries in the land register and why the bank requires collateral.
You will understand interest rate fixation, early repayment, refinancing and the risk of rate changes.
The programme covers the housing loan topics of the professional exam in consumer credit.

Will the course prepare me for the professional exam in consumer credit?
The course covers the housing loans part of the exam: housing loans and mortgages, building savings, collateral and the land register, property valuation and LTV, refinancing and fixation. The general part of the exam (financial and credit market, regulation and consumer protection, APRC, creditworthiness assessment) is covered by the full Financial Advisor course. The exam itself is not taken at the ČNB but with an accredited examiner (akreditovaná osoba), and its fee is paid separately.
Which language is the course taught in?
The course is taught in Czech – the same language as the exam – so you will learn the Czech terminology you need. You can ask the lecturer questions during the lessons.
Can I cancel my participation?
Yes. You can cancel at any time before the first lesson begins – just email orders@unimfa.com.
Is the course suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. We start with the basic characteristics of a housing loan and a mortgage and gradually move on to collateral, property valuation and refinancing.
How does this module differ from the full Financial Advisor course?
This module (14 hours) covers housing loans. The full Financial Advisor course (160 hours) prepares you for all four areas of the professional exams: consumer credit including the general part, investments, insurance and supplementary pension savings.
What if I decide to take the full course later?
We will credit the price of this module when you switch to the Financial Advisor course.
What document will I receive?
A certificate of completion.
How do the lessons work?
Live online with the lecturer in real time, in Czech, with the option to ask questions during the explanation. The course has 3 lessons: 10, 12 and 14 December 2026.
Do I need ČNB registration to arrange mortgages?
Yes. Only a person entered in the ČNB register may arrange housing loans, and their staff must have a school-leaving exam (maturita) and pass the professional exam with an accredited body. The course prepares you for the housing loan part of the exam. Registration is usually handled by the company you will work for.
Who teaches the course?
Ing. Vitalij Vorobjov, a financial advisor registered with the ČNB.
Apply for the course starting 10 December 2026 – it only takes a minute.
